Diversity in the Classroom

This youtube video from the Mississippi State University is about stereotypes and diversity in the classroom for first year teachers. As pursing the education to become a first year teacher, this video was good to see to see what stereotypes are out in the world about diversities that I have yet to interact with. This video is easy to watch with the modern music and current stereotypes. I have attached the link below and recommend the video to anyone.

Assistive Technology Tools

This four minute video from Edutopia shows how technology is helping visual or hearing impaired student further their education in a way that works best for them. It shows how technology is being used to create these forms of assistance. Examples of these forms of assistance are things like haveing a PDF document that is on the computer having a read aloud option for those students who have troubles reading or who can not read English or other languages. Another option is having a PDF document printed into brail for visually impaired students.

Here is the link to see comments made about this video to see what other people are saying about this assistive technology. http://http://www.edutopia.org/technology-visually-impaired-video

My New Video

I just finished my first video. It is about personal hygiene and it is aimed for grades K-2. I was pretty excited to see the finished project, so I thought I would post the website to share it with everyone. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DmdX5QwqFI This short video explains the appropriate way to wash your hands. It tells how long you should rub your hands together as well as what it should look like when you are done washing your hands. This is a fun and interactive video that children can wash along with!
